INDIANAPOLIS — This week on Indy@Nite, country singer-songwriter Colby Acuff performed at Hi-Fi in Indianapolis.

Acuff said fans could expect a lively show with a mix of upbeat and slower songs.

“Mostly we’re here to kind of rock out and have a good time,” Acuff said.

The performance was not Acuff’s first time in Indianapolis. He previously played at Duke’s, which has since closed, and said he was excited to return to the city and perform at Hi-Fi.

Acuff also opened up about the vulnerability of writing and performing music. He said a song begins as something personal before being shared with the world.

“You’ve given it to the world,” he said.

As an independent artist, Acuff also manages the business side of his career, including marketing, social media, contracts and venues.
