State Rep. Bride Rose Sweeney of Westlake, who now represents the 16th Ohio House District, is term-limited in the House and is seeking a state Senate seat this election instead. That leaves very big shoes to fill for the two candidates seeking to succeed her in the 16th -- Scott DiMauro, 57, also of Westlake, a former schoolteacher who spent 12 years as vice president, then president of the powerful Ohio Education Association, Ohio’s largest labor union, and Sophia Tjotjos, 67, of Rocky River, a community activist and lawyer who’s been in solo private practice for 30 years.
