WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Lowe’s team members will spend a day giving back to local veterans through a volunteer project at Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 11 in Wilmington.
The chapter will host Lowe’s Hero Day 2026 on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its facility at 4601 Park Avenue.
During the event, Lowe’s volunteers will dedicate their time and skills to making improvements to the facility, helping create a more welcoming and functional space for veterans and their families.
The project is part of a community partnership aimed at supporting those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
DAV Chapter 11 serves veterans in the Wilmington area, providing support through advocacy, community engagement and connections to resources.
Organizers say the volunteer effort highlights the impact local businesses and community members can make in supporting veterans.
The event will bring together Lowe’s volunteers and DAV Chapter 11 representatives for a full day of service.
