INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Pacers All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton will miss Saturday night’s preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks with an ankle injury.
Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said pregame that he has a “mild tweak of his right ankle.”
Haliburton tore his right Achilles in June 2025. His first game back since surgery was Thursday in Ames, Iowa, when the Pacers played the Minnesota Timberwolves for their preseason opener. Haliburton played 16 minutes, making one of this three three-point attempts. He finished the game with seven points.
Two weeks ago, Haliburton addressed the looming question of his health at the beginning of media day.
“Before you ask a question, I am healthy,” Haliburton said. “I am 100%. There will be no restrictions.”
The Pacers tip off the regular season in New Orleans on Wednesday, Oct. 21. They host the Dallas Mavericks for the home opener in Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
