JACKSON TWP., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – We don’t think of road construction projects starting in the Fall, but here’s a new one in Jackson Township.
Route 241 or Wales Avenue NW is set to close just south of Shuffel Street starting Friday for a year for a $9.7-million dollar two-pronged project.
First, replacement of the the bridge over Niumisilla Creek.
Then next year, it’s construction of a roundabout at 241 and Shuffel.
ODOT says roundabouts “work”, preventing serious crashes and congestion
Also, the Route 241 roadway will be elevated to reduce the chance of flooding.
